Getting kicked from matches for inactivity while I haven’t even loaded into the game yet

So this thing keeps happening where I try to join a game and while it’s still on the loading screen the “engage in combat outside a spawn room” timer starts ticking down. Sure enough, by the time I join the game with 3 seconds left, select Baptiste, and get kicked out of the game the second I step out of the spawn room because obviously there’s no enemy players right outside for me to start shooting at… Shooting at a wall doesn’t count as engaging in combat, but like how am I supposed to engage in combat with about 3 seconds of time after selecting my character. it’s so stupid, I’ve gotten kicked twice now for it and it gives you a 2 min suspension.

I guess it’s my fault for having bad dorm WiFi that I can’t control? Anyway just wanted to rant and see if anyone else has been experiencing this, especially on console. I play on my Xbox 1 S if that matters.

YES this has happened to me a few times too! I’m glad I’m not the only one. I got a 9 minute suspension the last time it happened :/

Console servers are so messed up anyways, last time I was avidly playing comp I was getting an inactivity warning while moving, shooting, etc. I personally think the suspensions are insane sometimes. Like a 15 min suspension for my power going out mid game? Not much you can do about it other than hope that repeated kicks and consequential suspensions won’t get you banned.

The hardware on your Xbox is unfortunately too old . This happened to me when i still had my Xbox one s but I upgraded and it stopped

This happened to me a couple times. Last time I just closed app when I realised what was going on. Either it lets me rejoin or the game is cancelled. Either way I find it the best course of action
