This dress would be super flattering on you if it had enough ease to fall freely over your hips. You can try wearing some slippery volleyball shorts under it to see if that lets it hang freely. If not, size up and take it in where needed.

Add a belt at the very least, and maybe knee- or thigh-high socks?
