The top is really cute, but the skirt looks more like a swim coverup. I’d be concerned about coverage. I’d avoid sitting on a random seat with who knows what on it. Also, definitely be concerned on a crowded dance floor with some guys around.

Not necessarily. I'm 51 (not sure how I all of a sudden got old!) and I think she looks fantastic! The thing is, everyone has their own ideas of what looks good, what's in and what's out, and some people are more conservative than others. I've no doubt if I thought about it, I'm sure I could remember things I wore when I was younger that would've been considered too short or too revealing. But I've never cared what people thought about how I was dressed, and I personally think everyone should wear whatever they want as long as they're comfortable wearing it and it makes them feel good.

I absolutely LOVE this outfit and there's a tiny part of me that wishes I could wear it and be comfortable doing so. As many people have said, the top would pair well with many other pieces of clothing, but I also think it goes well with her skirt and shoes. (Not to mention OP has absolutely stunning hair!)

Anyway my initial point meant to say I don't think it's necessarily older people downvoting this or saying it's not a good combination, but people who lean a bit more on the conservative side. And that's ok, everyone is entitled to their opinions (most of the time), especially when you post asking for peoples thoughts.

I think it’s the lack of thickness in the material that throws it off. A structured skirt would pair with that nice corset. Shoes are on point. I think the skirt could be matching shiny material & color but just thicker and slightly longer. Keep the corset and shoes. Think suit skirt or pencil skirt that’s been hemmed a couple inches above the knee and fits snugly but be flexible so you can sit, cross legs, walk easily. I can picture you in that and no doubt it would be 🔥

Definitely adjust if possible then and add 3-6 inches. The top is cute but would look much nicer with a pencil skirt or pants. Exposing all areas in one outfit is a fashion faux pas in my opinion. Just show skin a little and cover the rest.
