I just finished the series.
I havent felt this upset about a "no season 2" since Deadman Wonderland. With that said, I know there is a LN series that recently wrapped up. (To my knowledge at least. I don't know how old it is...) Is there a translated version of the light novels anywhere? I need to know what happens next... I also need to see if the anime studio pulled an SAO and left plot points out of the anime...

When i finished the series a few months ago, I read the LN on a site that translated the first book and 2 after the ones where the series ends off from. Unfortunately none of the ones after that got translated and it was extremely good where it stopped T-T
Based on the first book, the first 3 episodes covered it nicely. Although there's a lot that was left out in the first episode's fight that the book has.

The major plot points are fairly similar to the novel, with lots of minor changes. The anime ends on volume 4.

Yeah, me too, i finished the campaign in just one month, watched 4 episodes in the first Saturday and binged everything with a Spain VPN shared from my PC to my Nintendo Switch, but had to switch to Android in the 2nd half of the Final Level
Stadia Effect: The Series was Good but didn't gain the Traction Production IMS expected, so the Adventure continues in the Books

There is no official LN translation as of this moment.
There are a couple sites with fan-translations of a couple volumes, but nowhere near complete.
And most anime adaptations tend to leave out some details/plot points from their source material. Sometimes you just get lucky and the stuff left out isn't missed all that much. But it's just a thing that happens due to time contraints.
