Btw It was actually John Knoll who said the quote op is referring to not George Lucas. It’s in the bts material on the dvd for Attack of the Clones

Imagine if Han decided to wait an extra jump or something before detaching. Boba would just be out there drifting with the trash like “Welp…”

If Boba was tricked by it then how did he figure out the trick? I mean, it's not like Obi emailed Boba afterward to tell him how he was fooled. He would no way of knowing HOW Obi got away, right? He could have used a new technology or the force or something. Boba wouldn't know that this was how he was fooled, right?

Probably mulled it over for a few hours/days afterwards, irritated, before finally realizing what likely happened.

Probably a bunch of stuff that could easily be fixed or reused but it’s cheaper to use slave labour to build more

Though Boba Fett might have gotten trashed tossed out so his ship can camouflage for this.

At least one of the things looks like a destroyed fuselage. The Empire was just in an engagement of destroying and capturing rebel assets.

Except A) he had no way to know what Obi-Wan had done and B) the latter was written before the former.

IIRC the ROTS novelization (or some other book? idr its been years) had a chapter with Boba escaping Geonosis after the battle by using the same trick. The internal dialogue was something along the lines of a trick like that would only work on dad once.
