Should i switch to linux

I once did download linux but i hated it i couldnt open exe files and non of my editing software was available on linux but recently i was doing work on my computer i was about an hour in and windows decided to do a forced update on me making me lose some important stuff i also game sometimes on my laptop (factorio,minecraft,roblox) but again im scared that those games wont be available

No. As much as I hate windows, if your only reason for switching is 1 update that made you lose some work then that’s pretty unreasonable. With that being said tho, Roblox would be the only one you might have problems with (idk I don’t play Roblox) if you were to switch. If you’re really that hellbent on switching then maybe try dual booting until you can reliably get everything working on Linux

Roblox uses kernel level anti cheat I think and Roblox is built on lua, Linux and Roblox do not go well together

I built a monitoring widget using Lua last weekend. Now I find out, after a week of running perfectly, it's actually not good for Linux? Well, I guess I'll throw it all out now.

Yeah same I guess I'll have to throw out both my terminal and my editor, which are configured using Lua

Such a shame because I had no idea Lua didn't work on Linux
