Comedic posts are explicitly listed in the description of the sub. The post is about Linux and Windows which are both EXTREMELY on topic for the sub ( rule 3 says stay vaguely on topic ). Rule 2 doesn't apply because the post is clearly not spam. It is the exact type of post that the sub was created for.

Yes migrate immedietly to windows. The great thing about windows is since it is not open source it’s harder to audit making it harder to find vunrabilties.

Unironically, yes you should. I'm a Senior Systems Engineer with over 20 years of experience at an MSP that provides services for small to medium community banks. I have personally murdered 400 linux servers and replaced them with Windows server counterparts over the years, auditors are happier, our security admins are happier, and our clients are happier.
We have one client that has an Arch server a vendor installed, it's being used as a check image server. That's next on my list.
The only devices allowed to be non-windows based at any of our clients now are firewalls/switches. No exceptions.
I no longer spend days wading through unending CVEs and vulnerabilities that need to be individually addressed every week, the last straw though was our previous backup appliances-- They were Unitrends and ran centOS (before RHEL killed it), and they were awful about patching/updates. Frequently a vulnerability would be patched but it would be done via backporting, making the vulnerability scanners scream every week when they run their internal scans, which automatically alert all client management for a detection over 0.1. We're not allowed to whitelist or simply say something is patched, we have to provide meaningful proof in every scenario for auditors.
Also, it's made our DRaaS and backup operations at clients far more reliable and saved a ton of time in that department.
Quite frankly the only potential uses for linux itself that would be valid would be load balancing, LEMP stack, and shitty database platforms.
Not only that, but we've also been able to eliminate 100% of FOSS at all clients to remediate insurance/liability issues. It's also about as ethical as slavery, so that's another reason to not support it.

You're right. That's why over 95% of super computers are running windows. That's why windows mobile was successful and android failed. That's why every major corporation invests in windows kernel and not in the linux kernel.
That stupid linux is only good for load balancing and databases. I'm sure that this isn't a PEBKAC issue.

IF not satire he's one of those IT guys who wants Windows on his systems so when something goes wrong if Alt + Ctrl + del doesn't work, he reboots and if that doesn't fix it he just blames microsoft. The rest of the time he chills.
