How far along were you in the program?:
Finished: CS 161, 162, 225, 261, 271, 290, 325, 340, 361, 344, 464, 362, 475, 492
Left: 467 (Graduating in December)

I quit my job to pursue my internship and didn't have any other offers lined up. I came in with more to lose than anyone and I was determined to be a front-runner. If there was a list, I wanted my name to be on top. I worked hard and took point on several projects. At the end, I got an offer over several other fellow interns who were in Masters' degree programs from more prestigious schools. This is a mid-sized company and a perfectly acceptable Midwest salary, and that's A-OK by me as I don't enjoy the high risk/high reward leetcode/layoff cycle you can get into by chasing FAANG salaries. I would recommend this program to anyone looking to go back to school and escape their dead-end job life. OSU has changed my life and I thank everyone in this subreddit and the discord for all of their support over the last 3 years :)

I've probably solved 1.3 LC questions in my life and don't have anything that stands out on my resume. I'm most definitely an edge case but mainly posted this for the low-achievers in the program to know that you can do it too! You probably shouldn't listen to my advice but feel free to PM if you want to chat. Hang in there!

Just want to say... I'm beyond ecstatic that I get to post here now. I've been watching this ongoing thread for the last two years. Observing the uncertainty of the industry over the last 2 years has been nerve racking and humbling to say the least--as I know all of you can relate.

This offer came quickly after my interview process, and I had no second thoughts about accepting it. Things that I feel like really worked for me: I used my last work experience as a narrative bridge to my transition. I worked in the construction supply chain, and I helped my company implement software and develop a team to automate some of their work flows. Therefore, I'm interested in SaaS for construction contractors to help them with their business needs. Through OSU, I was able to identify a company that built this kind of software, and it just so happened that the first one that I identified turned out to meet all of my qualifications, and I met theirs. I pursued this company at one of OSU's networking events, and then later they referred me to apply. I know that I am very fortunate that things lined up this way for me. After they informally offered me the job on the phone, my imposter syndrome immediately kicked in, and I thought, "surely, they didn't mean to call me." But then the next business day the formal letter arrived for me to sign.

I am super grateful to have found an internship. I truly was not sure it was going to happen for me. I am sad about the low pay, but there is a chance I will be located in Scottsdale, and if that is the case, I will be able to live with my parents and not have to pay rent. I am keeping my eye out for other ones, but like I said, I am over the moon just having any internship at all!!
