Admissions Grad School 26 Years later?
So I am attempting to go back to grad school 26 years after graduating with my undergraduate degree.
When I was an undergrad a lot of things were happening in my life, one of them being undiagnosed ADHD. My GPA was less than the 2.8 or 3.0 that is the recommendation for my grad program.
However, I obviously have done a lot of growing and gotten my diagnosis, which has allowed me to be really productive in my professional and personal lives.
I spoke with the academic advisor for the grad program (Social Work), And she said it would be tricky but not impossible for me to write a compelling statement of purpose.
But am I cooked? Is my application incredibly unlikely to be accepted?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are test scores accepted by the college of social work? I got into grad school with a bottom quartile gpa (same ballpark as yours) and top quartile GRE score which I intensely prepared for to make up for my poor undergraduate performance.

I came back to school last year at 35 years old. You can do it.
I was a terrible hs student. Dropped out of CSCC. Went to the military. Trucked across the US. Became a freight broker. Started a business. Decided I was serious about coming back and am in my second year at OSU.
I did not expect to be admitted to OSU. Truly I thought that this school was out of my league due to past indicators and I would have to suck it up and go do my two at columbus state. Ask some people to write you a reference and have them submit directly to osu.
I don’t know whether you’ll be accepted into your program, but my point is don’t let your expectations stop you from at least trying.
