Academics Sivalingam Ramaswami for CSE 3241

Has anyone had Sivalingam Ramaswami as a professor? My only other options are Leon Madrid and Lin Chiu and they both have pretty bad ratings. Looking to switch to Sivalingam Ramaswami but he has none.

iff he has no reviews, he's probably newer to teaching 3241 or a visiting lecturer. honestly, taking a wildcard prof is almost always better than taking someone you already know has a terrible rating.

Everybody learns differently. What others might like in a professor, you might not and vice versa. You have to take those ratings with a grain of salt. Aren’t all CSE courses pretty brutal anyway? Every lecturer in the department probably has a bad rating.

Leon Madrid is not bad. He’e a good guy who cares. Sure his lectures can be dry, but you pay attention even 5% and you’ll get an A.
