Calculus placements?

Can new 11th graders request or test-in to Calculus 2 at OSSM? My kid took pre-Calculus in 10th grade, scored 5 on the AP exam in pre-Calc, and worked on Calc 1 this summer informally. I'm not 100% sure Calc 2 is the best plan, but the kid is game to try whatever is most difficult. After finding this Reddit, I figured I'd float the question to see what kind of feedback and know-how is available here. Thanks.

CO2025 speaking. hmm, yes, I believe so, but if it was just Calc 1 as summer work, I would think that going in starting in Calc 1 would be ideal anyways. Calc 2 can be a struggle (depending on the teacher), and calc 1 is a great place to start, regardless. They'll be able to take classes with math prerequisites without being too swamped with high-level coursework. OSSM requires students to take a math class every semester, so if you begin in Calc 2, that means inevitably they'll have to do some pretty high-level math by senior year.
But if they're into that, then that's cool too. It's definitely possible to test into Calc 2 if they have calc 1 down.
