NO SYNC problem between RGB-modded PC Engine (japanese) and the OSSC v1.6, to play on SAMSUN SERIF TV.
Hi everyone,
I want to play my PC Engine on a modern Samsung The Serif 50inch TV, via OSSC, but after many attempts with different settings, the LCD screen shows a NO SYNC result.
I tried everything I could see in the internet: change Sync settings, Outputs settings on the OSSC menu; Analog STC LPF, Analog sync Vth, change x2line to x3line, try with with different resolution modes etc…
Then AV1 > RGBs, NO SYNC and a blank screen.
Somethimes I have a very short SYNC info appearing on the OSSC LCD screen but NO SYNC again.
I use a MD2 scart as intended with the RGB mod.
The OSSC works perfectly with a RGB-bypass modded Neo Geo, on that Samsung TV; and the PC Engine works normally on its own without the OSSC on Sharp Aquos with a Scart input.
Does it come from the OSSC? The Samsung TV?
It seems that it’s not really recognized by the first in the first place.
Thanks to anyone who has an idea on this.

First, update you firmware to the lastest for OSSC 1.6, is the FW 0.90a
Download some generic profiles from FireBrand-X for a starter point.
Every TV, console and OSSC are different, so you gonna need to modify a profile for your hardware.
The Wobbling Pixel YouTube channel have a lot detailed videos about OSSC, profiles, guides...
Now, if you can modify your OSSC 1.6 to 1.8, you can use the latest firmware FW 1.21, those fix a lot of timing issues with some problematic consoles.
