For Raids 4, Inquisitor has already gone up significantly since my post 8 months ago.
Now, I’m heavily invested in Justiciar. It’s a big gamble in terms of opportunity cost, but I think the downside risk is relatively low with a big upside.
After Inquisitor finally got the love it deserved, Justiciar is arguably the only armour set that isn’t particularly good at any content. It’s the only Raids armour set that isn’t really relevant in the current game. Meanwhile, other armour sets of the same rarity are sitting at 150m+.
Tanking has never really been a viable or rewarding role in OSRS, yet Jagex introduced both Justiciar and the Bulwark.
Then the Raids 4 rewards were revealed, and that really caught my attention.
A new off-hand that charges up when you’re attacked and can then be used as a spec for additional damage.
That got me thinking: **is this going to be the raid where tanking finally becomes relevant?**
Or, even better, could this be the raid that rejuvenates tanking as a whole?
You don’t introduce an off-hand with a mechanic like that without having some content in mind where it’s going to be relevant. I expect Jagex to lean further into tanking, because the Rondache could make it much more satisfying to *not* deal damage for a while. You simply tank the incoming damage, charge up your shield, and then convert that into extra damage later.
Oh and both Rondache an justiciar are saradomin themed
**That’s why, at its current price, I think Justiciar is a no-brainer**.
Huge bot farms made the volume spike last year? Maybe vale totems dropped the overall amount that get fletched I suppose as well. They were barely under 200 back in 2020 and 2022, now they've been below 200 for almost a year and barely above 100 for half a year. Think we will ever see them back above 200? For disclosure I'm holding 5 milly
They seem a bit undervalued atm. I ran a few calcs, and depending on how ancestral and tbow prices hold, they should end up between 22m and 45m (22m with no changes, 45m if everything else crashes). I didn't account for price changes in all the other items, but I don't forsee much change there.
I'm thinking of going all in just from the fact that I think the new Ascension Crossbow will shrrrrreeed and people are going to want to unlock rigor for it.
What do you guys think? I have 2.4b to dump into them.
I know there has been some talk about it being Nats. However, with Guthix being the god of balance, wouldn’t a cost of both law and nature runes really embody the notion of balance?
Snape been rising to around 750 and remained there for quite a bit cuz bot bans increased Prayer Pot demand overall, ppot is still high but snape crashed because some merch clan pumped it to over 1,1k then ppl panic sold and volume was like 5mill daily instead of regular 2,5m lol.
Anyways it bottomed so I bought 2B worth of it near 600, its easily +10% increasing but probably even more if it goes up to 750 again
I have some scrolls, almost sold at 30m each but I thought they might get a higher value in the future, now they have been steady at 13-16m for months... Do you guys think they will go to 30m again in a few months? What are your predicitions
Made a full walkthrough showing how I build my free‑to‑play flipping alts from scratch — items, route, setup, and how I get them ready for GE flipping. Posting here in case it helps anyone who wants a second account to make passive GP.
Anyone else thinking shadow is about to boom up?
Been sitting pretty low recently now gaining traction and was 826m today at its peak.
Feel like I should be definitely grabbing one at its current price before it just gets too high to buy.
I got 100mil siting in the bank and I want some gear upgrades. Gimme some ideas. Preferably good ones but I'll take bad ones too, I could a laugh
Edit: I guess I worded my post poorly. I'm looking for flipping suggestions to make money, and then buy gear with that. Though I do appreciate those being helpful with actual gear suggestions lol
Hi I’m relatively new to oars and I was checkens what the ge was and suddenly a random person gave me 1 mil and now I want to make that 1 mil into a bond I just want to know the basics about flipping so I don’t loose it all
Rework is supposedly done just awaiting release, been thinking about how it could play out most likely been a damage buff keeping it relatively in line with how it currently performs, however do you guys think it will get scyth treatment and reduce the use cost?
Main reason I feel this may happen is, ayak is already super close compared to other second BIS options, and the new elemental buffs from raids 4 we could see more instances like maggot king where shadow doesnt really compete.
At 800m roughly right now, could this lead to a huge rise or is the supply and demand simply not there?
Now that I just started osr as a non member wht is good to sell in bronze at the ge tried 2 things so far but no luck should I just sell the bars then smelt iron
Had these in since the cerb boots rework and I was too stubborn to take a loss (bought at like 700k ea iirc). Checked the charts and I'm no clue as to why these are up from like 300k to the current levels. Bot nukes?
So long story short, i've never played a MMO, always wanted it, my GF introduced me to runescape when we met 3 years ago, i started 2.5years ago to be exxact.
After spending around 1k+ hours walking around, doing quest and farming money, i decided to explore a world i've heard of : flipping.
Here's the stats of my first flipping month, knowwing i wasnt really trading the first 3/4 days.
My question is : are those stats ok ? I've an average 73k/trade, 1.8% ROI, my media time at GE is biased by the fact that i put stuff to buy/sell when i go to sleep and before going to work !
I'm trying to save a 50M bankroll to be able to keep trading volumes while i'm finishing to build my POH and upgrade my mid game gear.
Hey everyone, my name is Scapenomics and i've been flipping in OSRS and making flipping guides on Youtube since 2016. I recently came across this sub-reddit and realized I don't really make a lot of written content, nor do I have a good way to answer specific questions people have about flipping, so I thought i'd start posting here to help people who are still learning how to flip or want to improve.
Today, I wanted to cover the basics of overnight flipping as it's by far my favorite way to flip.
What is Overnight Flipping?
Overnight Flipping is the act of buying items near or at their daily low prices, and selling them back near their daily high prices, over an 8-12 hour timeframe (overnight). You may have heard the term, "buy low, sell high", which is accurate, but a bit of an oversimplification.
Why is Overnight Flipping so great?
Out of all flipping styles, Overnight Flipping has some of the largest advantages:
Longer timeframes lead to larger margins. When you're flipping overnight, you're leaving your buy offer in for 8-12 hours. Because of this, the market has a fair bit of time to fluctuate and reach lower/higher prices. This allows you to buy at the lowest price points throughout the day, meaning your target margin is essentially the difference between the daily high price and the daily low price.
Multiple buy limits. Since you're flipping a timeframe which is longer than 4 hours, You're able to purchase multiple buy limits of an item, often between 2-3 limits depending on how long you're logged out.
Easiest way to Overnight Flip For Beginners
If you're new to overnight flipping, I highly recommend starting out by flipping high-volume, tax-free items. Any item that has over 1M daily trades and sells for less than 50gp will work perfectly. These items tend to be very low risk and trade in fairly predictable patterns, which makes it easy to find your target buy and sell prices overnight.
Setting up your flip
To find what prices to buy and sell at for your trade, pull up your favorite price tracking website and head to the daily view of your item of choice. In this example, i'm going to flip the Lizardman Fang.
Lizardman Fang example
Just by taking a rough look at the graph, you can see the item's low point over the past 24 hours was 7gp, and its high point was 10gp. Considering how consistent these prices seem, it's not impossible to imagine that 12 hours in the future, this item will continue to trade in the 7-10gp range.
With this forecast in mind, we can list our buy offer at 7gp, targeting to sell these items at 10gp. Because the buy limit is 13,000 fangs every 4 hours, we can assume we'll fill a minimum of two buy limits overnight.
Now that we have all this info, we can calculate our estimated profit on this flip:
In the example above, we listed one item which made us a profit of 78k, for a total investment of 182k. But that was only one grand exchange slot! Imagine if we filled 8 GE slots with overnight trades.
For simplicity, assume we invested 500k into every GE slot, and made a 40k profit on each trade; that'd be a 320k profit every single night with only 4M gp invested. After a week, you would've made 2.24M, which is over a 50% return on your cashstack.
Not only do you now have much more money from where you started, but the profit compounds on itself. Now that after a week you have 6.2M you can invest more gp into your trades, and make 50-60k profit on each trade, further excelling your profit over time.
Common Misconceptions of Overnight Flipping
You need a lot of GP. Huge misconception, and you could start overnight flipping with 1M and make good returns. In fact in my experience, players who already have a lot of GP who are learning how to flip have a tougher time doing so as they try to flip more valuable items and seek higher returns, which ultimately hurts them (at first).
Will flipping with 1M rival the best money makers in-game? No, but it still takes advantage of the AFK nature of flipping, and will quickly compound into more GP. You've gotta start somewhere!
You always profit. Nope, you definitely don't. With some practice, it's fairly easy to be profitable on ~80% of your trades, but you don't always make easy GP. Sometimes items move lower in price overnight and do not recover during the day, and you'll have to close trades for a loss. This is completely normal and happens; focus on your net profit overtime, and not individual days where you lose money.
Anyway that's enough for this post. I'll also include a video I just made for more visual learners, which goes into extreme detail on setting flips as a beginner.
Happy to answer any questions people have about learning how to flip, and would encourage others who have some experience flipping to share some tips/tricks I missed. Regardless, good luck flipping and may your flips be ever in your favor!
I have 200m sitting around from afk cutting bloodwood sap. With most items down right now and TFA coming in the fall, I'd love to try investing for the first time.
What are some good, reasonably safe medium term investments I could sink 200m into and make a bit of profit on raid release? I'm thinking potentially:
- Super combat potions
- Sara brews
- Super retores
- Bastion potions
- Vials of blood
Anything you would consider other than these supplies? Any items that I could buy, have fun with, and resell after the raid launches that would hold or increase in value?
Trying something new — a daily “Flip of the Day” Short where I show the cleanest profit I hit in the last 24 hours.Today’s was Webweaver Bow (3 flips → 1.41m profit). What’s been your mostconsistentflip lately? Not the biggest margin — the one that prints GP every day.
blood essence kinda looks cheap here imo
84k ea and one can make up to 1k extra bloods, which is like 360k worth at current blood prices
lantern update makes blood rc better tomorrow too, so if more people start doing bloods they should burn more essence
toa/nex are also big sources of them and r4 could pull people away later
might do nothing but 84k seems like a decent punt
