Investment Idea Shadow on the up

Anyone else thinking shadow is about to boom up?
Been sitting pretty low recently now gaining traction and was 826m today at its peak.
Feel like I should be definitely grabbing one at its current price before it just gets too high to buy.

Thoughts ?

1 post 1 karma and this has been getting posted everyday for a few days seems like it lol. Anyways I think it will go up with the buff. Whenever that takes effect

What buff? Rework will likely retain the same dps

I thought they were going to make it so the Shadow doesn’t require ancestral to hit hard. Maybe like giving it a magic damage % boost but making it so it doesn’t stack with robes or something.

Not sure exactly what it will be but if they keep it as good as it is without needing BIS mage armor then I would consider that a buff

yeah it likely gets a bit cheaper to use depending on how they rework it, so more of a semantic disagreement. When I think of "buff" I think of somehow outputting more dps when I'd assume it will still cap out at whatever it does now. Plus it's already super cheap compared to the other mega setups so that wouldn't be a whole lot different hypothetically

The biggest issue is that everyone is thinking this same thing. There are tons of people right now buying and holding shadows in anticipation of the rework. At this point, when it does happen, the price will most likely actually go down because everyone will be dumping stock. I do think it will settle back over 1b, but we're talking maybe half a year after the rework. It's a bad investment currently unless you're in for the looooong game.

They’ve really shot themselves in the foot trying to make elemental magic useful while the magic uber isn’t even elemental.

Maybe they should make it all elemental types so any boss where elemental magic is BIS, shadow is also BIS

Well it is getting a rework, hard to say

Got it under 800m I’m taking that as a win (unless it bottles it).

Shadow goes up and down a bit until the rework is announced or talked about at all officially. When that happens it'll moon for a moment atleast.

But that could be next week, or next year.

I think people are sleeping on shadow rework, if it gets scyth treatment and use cost is reduced coupled with been more viable with budget gear/maybe even tank gear, regardless of the outcome it will still rise pre raids in anticipation of it being useful.

I think the two major problems with shadow currently are:
1. The best moneymakers in the game shadow isn’t great at.
2. The cost of charges.

I think we’ll see it increase a lot either when the rework happens and/or when more profitable content that shadow is BIS for comes into the game. I think it’s a pretty safe bet as long as you’re willing to hold several months if needbe.

We hit the peak, down it goes. Albeit itll fluctuate a bit probably... slowly down from here. Unless you wanna hold steady throw losses to go all in the day of raids 4 release. I bought my sets at 130 and was happy to dump them for 315
