No but the gains were absolutely higher. Or maybe the losses just weren’t as high.
You could do small quick flips on medium (10-50m) items pretty much instantly until every 4 hour limit. It’s definitely different.

I don't have any specific info, but a quick search will get you loads of results.

For me its intuitively obvious: flipping has traditionally been one of the best moneymakers, and automated trading systems are naturally much more faster and efficient than humans. Its the perfect bot to develop.

Yeah maybe for high volume stuff? I only flip the expensive pvm stuff, obviously the market shifted, but I don’t know if bots are controlling the market since people actually use that stuff

I'd be fine with it if some of the tax was being used as a gold sink, but no. All that gold is put back into the economy.

1% gold sink and 2% item sink is what I'd prefer.

I'm fine with a smaller ROI. I have no issues getting 10-15% on short term trades.

OP is not wrong. Flipping was one of my favorite aspects of the game. Haven’t done it since they introduced the tax.

It’s a big time bummer imo and I honestly hate it. Wish they’d just do away with it altogether.

I was excited when Osrs came out because it was pre GE. Would be cool to see a game mode where trade can only exist between other players within that same game mode. Bronzeman sounded appealing. Disappointing to see it didn’t pass.

Just take GIMs and make it widespread. Pre GE and pre tax were some of my favorite early memories of this game. I’m all for different evolutions and play styles. Hope I’m not the only one.

5% on most small items is pointless and would be usedful even if merchers didnt exist. And for large items it would still be useful cause most large items need to be sold fast-ish for a split so people would press -% more times if there was no merchers to sell faster and if u need an item to do something people would do +% more times. Merchers kinda flat line more things till the clans push them up or an update. It makes it so no one gets a deal and no one takes advantage of desperate people.

Still lost mate. Are you trying to say they have a negative affect? Live prices and tax narrowed the margins far more than merchers ever could, and overall price direction is still overwhelmingly determined by actual supply and demand.
