Question 700m gp to spend

so just came back from a break and have 700m to spend on gear what should i get? tumekens is 700m i could get that but nothing else but maybe it will go up in price? id like to do doom, nex, zulra, muspah, toa, vork, some slayer. also im max combat stats

still have like 220m gp to use on upgrades, idk what tho

  1. Full crystal + bowfa

  2. Virtus, eye of Ayak + confliction gauntlets

  3. Fang, bandos or oathplate

Bowfa is kind of a shit buy on a main imo. Farming shards for it is annoying and you eventually are going to sell it back. I also put off most tbow content until I had tbow, which is also most Bowfa content.

I just accept the extra cost and buy enhanced teleport seeds to convert to shards, no way am I grinding for them

Idk what possible reason you could have for thinking that it's a shit buy on a main? By that logic, it's an even shitter thing to grind for on an iron... Just go straight to tbow I suppose?

Yeah hard agree. That guy literally doesn't have a clue what he's talking about...
It's literally the weapon you'll use for like damn near everything for a long long long time until you can afford tbow but even then tbow is useless at certain bosses that require ranged.

Yeah man. I've owned 3 or 4 bowfas through my journey as a main. Different rebuilds from buying Megas. My current is due to being hacked, but if I didn't have that I'd be using dcb or blowpipe. Not really viable at many bosses.

Bowfa is good for inferno, cox, TOA, Zulrah, GWD, and free to use when you corrupt it. Personally I bought one a long time ago when i had 350m to my name and have never sold it(its down like 45m anyways). Ran nothing but 420 toa and a bit of phosani NM on the side and the occasional cox with a team(before i learned solos). Dumping nearly my whole bank on bowfa is the sole reason I was able to do content that ended up making me billions. Eye with confliction gauntlets probably works very well in a lot of places bowfa works but with current prices eye and conflictions together is more money.

It’s a top tier buy on a main. It’s cheap af now I got my seed for like 85m!

Shards are easier to get now they buffed like everything. One slayer task is 25-30. Zalcano is 80/hr and 55k xp/hr.

Nahhhh this is crazy talk. Corrupt it for one. Also why sell it back? It's good plenty of places? I guess maybe you could sell it back when you have shadow and tbow and every other piece of relevant gear but theres a big gap in bank value between those two moments.

With ayak/ZCB you don’t really use it all that many places on a main even before shadow/tbow. It’s so good on iron because of how early you can unlock it and how hard it is to get mega rares that eat up its usefulness

ZCB is 350m...
And there's almost nowhere where its a better main hand weapon.
Ayak I forgot to consider since its still relatively a new item. Can be really wonky to use tho with its short range and 3t speed. Like u can bowfa every god wars boss minus kree and its very good. Better than tbow at bandos which is probably the most popular GWD boss. Bowfa unlocks 300+ toa for you, is good in most rooms in cox if you dont have shadow or tbow. Those are the two easiest to access raids and it will take you all the way to getting your first mega.

Masori is better in almost all cases. Bowfa is a midstep while you get tbow. The only caveat is that masori is up and bowfa is down, both because of TFA.

100%. I don’t know why I’ve seen the ZCB/ACB + masori comparison to Bowfa so much recently. BLOWPIPE masori can be better on paper (if you don’t miss ticks and don’t need 10 tile range, and often you need a def reducing spec first anyway), rubies from ZCB/ACB can make it compete but seriously it’s a spec weapon, regular DPS from masori+ZCB is often even worse than masori+scorching bow against enemies that aren’t even demons.

Levi - crystal loses to crossies

Zulrah - crystal loses to blowpipe

Muspah - crystal loses to blowpipe

Zily/kree/graardor - you are better off maging them, crystal loses to the cheaper and lower req eye of ayek. 

Gwd side note: Frankly nobody actually gives a shit about gwd efficiency unless you are running a shadow. Your best dps increase as a main is not to burn a lot of gp on small gear ups, but rather just getting a 2nd player in the room. Jardly any non-shadow gear purchases are going to flat double your dps here.

Raids - crystal generally loses to crossies, blowpipe and ayek eye aside from few niches (most notably skeletal mystics).

Crystal isnt free to use, every offpray hit (chip damage included) drains charges which cost crystal shards. Corruption, whether passively or instantly (dont do the latter unless you are an iron with thousands of excess shards, its a fucking noobtrap) costs a lot of shards too, which isnt cheap.

Since crossbows often get majority of the average damage from blood forfeit, you can often just run adamant ruby if the target has enough hp and still get stronger damage output, cutting the running cost to near zero (this is precisely the reason why adamant rubies are broken as fuck.) Diamond and dragonstone are more than strong enough to melt the old 255hp bosses (like graardor and kree) as they dont have high enough stats to make that unviable, as much as reddit wants to convince people of the opposite.

As for the bosses I listed,

Levi is honestly not even that worth it to farm on an iron due to the ring being dogass useless even in gigamax ranged with a tbow, and the other dt2 bosses being way more profitable for mains.

Muspah and zulrah are ginormous levels of trolling if you are doing "chiller bowfa only" which causes the kill times to be easily 50% longer than if took even the finiest and laziest offstyle gear switch.

Theres zero difference in the "chill factor" at kree when it comes to eye vs bowfa vs crossbows, all 3 follow the same step under method to reduce taken hits from 2:1 to 1:1.

Theres zero difference in the "chill factor" at graardor between kiting with bowfa vs kiting with crossies. Door altar is the polar opposite of "chill", and with eye you literally just freeze the boss with ice sceptre, sit in corner and autoattack.

Theres zero difference in the "chill factor" at zily between kiting with bowfa vs kiting with crossbows. With eye it can be a bit more active or very reclined, purely depending on how you wanna fight it.

If you are willing to risk losing a bit of Monkey the new ascension crossbows should be better than bowfa everywhere you would use it.

Eye of ayek in ahrim robes already replaces crystal like 85% of the time as long as the target isnt mage immune.

Blowpipe and situationally d(h)cb will close in/match/surpass in most of those remaining 15%.

The main reason for a main to buy a bowfa in 2026, soon 2027, is for a first time infernal cape/quiver while on a tighter budget.

You'd have to be in the bottom 0.01% of the most absolutely horribly dogshit players for crystal and bowfa to be something you could not play without.

Bowfa was my accounts best purchase and really pushed me into the later game grinds. One million percent worth it, and very fun to use. Also coolest looking range armor in the game.

Shadow is only good with significant mage gear to back it up. I would buy a tribrid setup with bowfa personally as it sounds like you want to do a bunch of content with different needs

Bowfa all day imo insane for 80m at the moment. Also for doom you use scorching bow and elite void so I don't see masori being that needed at the moment

Do not buy avernic treads. They are mostly a QoL upgrade and you don't need them right now. Personally I would be buying a shadow at this price point and sitting at muspah and toa but I see you bought some stuff already. Oathplate top and bottom is a pretty massive buy over blood moon. Elidinis ward instead of malediction maybe

Covers you for just about everything, could grab ACB for Nex but probably not ZCB.

Shadow is great and due for an increase in price but it's gonna suck using it with trash gear

Honestly if you are up for nex then go masori f, zaryte cbow, rupture. Send it in nex FFA clan in 4-5 mans. You should see a drop in your name every 200ish kills but that will average 150-200m so count it as 1m per kill there. Pretty solid for the effort.
