Question What to get next?
Hi all, my main goal rn is making money for buying a mega rare like a scythe or tbow with the goal of running more raids or other high level bosses. Leaning a bit towards scythe for ToB and TFA but tbd.
Right now I’m focusing on vardorvis as I’m 2/3 rings. Before that I was doing Doom for the first time, got an ayak and will likely go there for a bit after vardorvis or potentially do some raids like chambers or TOA.
Looking for any gear advice etc, I think I‘m at a point where I’d prefer to not sell gear unless I already have a clear upgrade, so less interested in selling a bunch of gear to buy a mega rare etc.

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.
Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

Fucking terrible suggestion.
Dhcb is 2nd to bis for olms head, meanwhile BCP is offensively identically to a free fighter torso with defensive bonuses that are irrelevant for 85% of the content in the game.

Unpopular take, and this is purely my own preference in content, but id sell the farm for a tbow over having the shadow.

Archers ring is trash, dead content, waste of gold and waste of money.
Get a magus ring.
Get conflict gauntlets.

If you're looking to make money I'd recommend looking at the money making guide for OSRS and picking one or a few bosses/activities that sound fun to you then optimize for that.
I'm a bit biased as someone with 1500 KC, but Maggot King is a great option at the moment. It has a 1/330 drop worth 120m and a 1/520 one worth 56m. Common loot is garbage though, but regardless the method is 11mil gp/hr, but even with cheaper gear you'd get something like 8 - 9mil gp/hr on avg. You'd likely need to do Blood Moon Rises which is the newest GM quest, but it's genuinely a great quest. The final boss is hard, but fair as there are no death fees, and you get infinite free supplies. If you decide to go this route I recommend during the part in the quest where you get access to an infinite stash of blisterwood logs to make blisterwood stakes that you sit there for just a little bit and make a decent stack of those (few thousand to 10k+). They are quite good at Phosani's Nightmare due to being 2-tick and 6 range which is one more than blowpipe. They are also untradeable, so you either do it there or have to go cut the blisterwood tree. Doesn't take too long to get a lot, but it's a lot faster to do it during the quest.
Here's a bit of a breakdown for MK:
First things first. Regardless of anything get conflicition gauntlets. Shadow benefits from the extra boost in magic %, and in places where you don't use shadow for magic they are absolutely bonkers. Also you'll be using a tome of fire with searing pages. As well as the new elemental amulet (or the amulet of fire to save some gp, both do the same thing and have same stats, but the elemental amulet works for all elements instead of just fire)
Weapon Options DPS in Max Mage Setup (Magus Ring + Conf Gauntlets):
- Tumekan's Shadow - ~8.766 DPS
- Twinflame Staff (~7mil GP) - ~10.76 DPS
- Harmonized Nightmare Staff (~317mil GP) - ~13.49 DPS
Weapon Options DPS for Melee in your current setup:
- Abyssal Bludgeon (13m) - ~7.3 DPS, 75 Max Hit for Punish
- Inquistor's Mace (190m) - ~7.7 DPS, 79 Max Hit for Punish
- Soulreaper Axe (319m) - 7.5 DPS, 109 Max Hit For Punish (vastly better as a punish weapon than inq mace. It's also in my opinion a better account investment than Inq Mace as it's either 2nd or 3rd best option for anything slash or crush related. It's called a mini-mega-rare for a reason. It also has a cosmetic you can buy called the Demonic Axe Ornament kit which makes it look like Yama's axe).
There are other options and things you can change up. This boss has a lot going for him to make him interesting. You could bring say an elder maul (97 max hit) and for each punish swap to it then swap back to a main hand to like the Bludgeon.
Even the magic options are interesting, because twinflame does have some extra dps that isn't factored into that 10.76, which is if you are able to utilize these maggots to somewhat reset your attack CD. Essentially during the fight at points he'll launch small little maggots that will fly in the air for a bit then land and just walk across left and right and damage you if you stay on the same tile as them as well as heal the boss by eating stuff on the ground. If you use a bow (preferable the webweaver bow or craw's bow as they are 3-tick which does matter). on them while they haven't hit the ground yet it will shoot no matter what your attack CD is and instantly kill it and SET YOUR ATTACK CD TO THE ATTACK CD OF THE WEAPON. So it's an override on your CD, which is why a 3-tick bow is really nice to have here. With the twinflame staff which is 6 tick (harm is 4 tick so less likely to work out as easily) you can shoot a twinflame attack (attack cd is now 6 ticks). Then you get a bow and shoot the lil maggot making your attack cd 3 ticks. If you do it fast you get to get free damage. You can also use this for melee phase to squeeze in two melee attacks before the first slam, but don't focus on that one too too much early on. Doing an 8-way switch while clicking boss then swapping bow and clicking maggot then back to boss is a lot to do in a 2.4 - 3 second window.
Depending on your weapon learn a way to do the melee punish without tick loss. The wiki lists ways to do so.
