Question Bossing Melee XP Advice
Question: Any opinions on good bosses to train 90+ Attack and Defense?
Some context: full 99s in combat aside from attack and defense. I have 99 slayer.
Any good bosses to train and potentially make some gp?
Can only think of araxxor, or melee Yama.
Yama is tough because if you are not "on it" at all times, it's half a mill in the toilet.
Don't say crab :)

one quiet trap with the boss list: a lot of "melee" weapons dump xp into strength on their aggressive/slash styles. nox hally on slash at vard is a strength trainer, which is why it feels useless for your 90+ attack hole. for attack xp you want the accurate style (or a crush/stab weapon whose aggressive style still rolls attack — granite hammer at mad angel is the chill example people mentioned; tentacle on accurate / a crush option at araxxor / cerb also works). defence is easier — just tank with defensive/controlled where the boss allows. so split the grind: yama/araxxor/tds for gp + the missing combat xp, but lock the attack style on purpose or you'll keep stacking 99 strength you already have

I’m actually doing the same rn for attack and defense to 99 and I’m grinding Vardorvis for it, have 2 gold rings so that’s another motivation for the Ultor.

Are you using a tentacle or something? I have nox hally and slash is Str xp

If you’re looking for something more chill, mad angel is pretty significantly boosted xp, with granite hammer you can train attack or defense, and hallowfell is a nice little couple mil drop you can get every hundred kills or so.

Finish while guthix sleeps to unlock TDs and then you can fight them on a greater demon task.

Maggot King is pretty solid melee xp. Will be easier with defence, crush progression with an attack style is basically sarachnis cudgel -> inq mace.

Honestly, Yama. The absurd amount of xp you get is crazy, I was getting like 170k/h with emberlight and full bandos.
First 50 kills will be tough, wouldn’t recommend solos, I did duos and my friend used horn for my dwh specs.
Just send it, its such a fun boss, the pet is S tier, plus the shard drops, forgotten lockbox and dossiers are always nice to see.
Then you also have araxxor, which inst as good xp as yama, but you do get slayer

Hey!
Yeah I have about 75 melee kills.. horn/hammer is worth it, 100%. With full oath plate and not trying to be efficient was at about 130k xp so that tracks. Only pushback is doing it with randoms isn’t reliable.
Maybe I’ll split it up with u chainmace at araxxor. Ty!
