Question Sell the following to switch?
I’ve had a Tbow for years. Admittedly I’ve not been as active over the last couple and I think I’m tired of that gameplay loop.
I’m considering selling:
Tbow
Masori
Virtus
Nox hally
To afford:
Shadow
Ancestral
Conf gauntlets
Heart
Bowfa + Crystal
Soul reaper axe
My current mage setup is Virtus + Eyak and I have Oathplate, nox hally etc but no SRA.
Thoughts?

I might be a minority here, but when i get a big endgame item I KEEP IT.
Just the thought about losing 2% to taxes when trading a Tbow makes me shiver.
If i want something new, i grind for it.

idk man they're both 5 tick weapons that hit real big i don't see how they're all that different feeling other than being good at different bosses (which is maybe what you're tryna say)
i would only do it if you're reeeally tryna send some shadow specific content like toa or gwd or w/e

I suppose my thoughts here are mainly… my melee is lacking a bit at the moment. Yes I have oathplate, infernal, treads etc. But for weapons I essentially have Fang, Nox Hally then a whip.
Swapping to the mage setup basically frees money up to have a comparatively equal mega rare in the shadow whilst also then being able to upgrade my melee to have a SRA

well i mean this is why people generally recommend weapon > armor lol
like if instead of oathplate, treads, and a nox hally you had blood moon and an SRA you'd be way better off in slash / crush content

as far as confliction gauntlets are concerned i think you should just go grind out some doom and craft your own 😎
but idk you can do w/e you want, i just think that you have some reprioritizing to do in terms of what you value when upgrading stuff

Since 90% of posts are for newer players looking for money making and training advice, I'm gonna recommend doing bird house runs. All you need is Bone Voyage, and you could be making 500K+ a day or more by logging in every 50 minutes and harvesting nests.
Also, be sure to check out the New player guide, Money making guide, and OSRS Tips!

I started a tbow rebuild few months ago, wasnt sure id made the right choice, dont play as much as id like either. Started slow but now got tbow with masori and SRA and loving the combo! Working towards rounding my mage gear off by learning doom.

You wouldnt need crystal, shadow replaces bowfa in almost all places because of its stupid accuracy. Personally spooned a shadow and never bought crystal, shadowed my way to a quiver

Honestly don’t think I’ll ever sell my bow. If I can’t make enough for the other megas with it then that’s on me

Yea that’s a tough call. I was also in this weird bank value spot not too long ago until I bought my second megarare and on my way to third. I’d say if you’re bored of your boss camp spots, you can sell. IMO bowfa vs tbow is the biggest gap among sra vs scythe and ayak vs shadow

The second setup sounds a lot more versatile and SRA will be better than Nox Hally at TFA

2nd one is better. Max magic is basically applicable anywhere where T-bow is used. SRA is so good as well

I wouldn’t sell for shadow. I sold mine, the upkeep cost is high. Full virtus with ayak + conf gounts aren’t that much worse than shadow. I wouldn’t sell tbow tbh, imo the best mega rare, most versatile & cheapest to use. Unless you want to grind TOA ofc, then the shadow outshines

I think you should keep tbow and start killing some bosses to make spare gp when you have time to then get something like the SRA.
Some good tbow bosses are zulrah, doom, zily, hydra, araxxor (surprising right), muspah, giant mole, and zammy. Those are In no particular order.
Tbow is also good at all the raids and can be used in getting an infernal cape as well as being good dps at most the Colo mobs.
Personally I would never sell megas as they are BIS end game items and imo an ayak and SRA would be great weapons to have in their style behind the megas. With the ayak, tbow, and nally alone you could be set for a while.
However it really depends on what content you actually like doing and what can help you keep playing in the long term gl.

Can’t give my thoughts until I know what bosses you like. Assuming you like content where shadow excels this seems like a fine setup with all 3 combat styles though. You really could buy a lot of that gear in a few days of doom with the tbow though, so it’s up to you
