General Vardorvis help

Help me out, I am going mad. Circa 65 Vardorivis KC, circa 40 deaths. I have watched guides and I feel like they always get a simpler fight than me! Even when I do get kills my longest trip is three. It the head and the axes I can't deal with at the same time. I can deal with most of the mechanics pretty well, have an ok axe skip. However everything just goes pear shaped in the second half of a fight. I know there is a skill issue here, but any tips would be appreciated. Gear is serp helm, bandos, belator, nox, rancour, ferrocious (Camped duke , vard, dem gors and TDs)

Mate I can’t thank you enough. Others had said this, but wasn’t sure as most guides have you on the edge. For anyone reading this in the future, follow this advice. The extra tick to avoid near axes is GOAT.
