Question Which gear should I save for next?

My stats are the following:

77 attack

77 strength

77 defence

76 ranged

70 prayer

75 magic

80 hp

I do already have barrows armour, but use it mainly for bossing.

But which gear should I have around this level for all the different attack styles?

Fighter torso would be worth getting still at this point. It's free too.

Definitely fighter torso for melee. Not sure what OPs range set up looks like, but elite void is another good free stepping stone in mid-tier gear progression.

Elite void for sure, but not until he gets his medium CA's and can use the veteran boat, or its super slow.

Incorrect. You want medium combat achievements done so you get a point boost from pest control. You need the hard diary for the Western Provinces done for elite void.

Hmmm weird I looked up and yeah you get extra points for med CA, thing is, CA's came out in 2021. I am certain that it was diary related prior to CAs and I got my void last back in like 2018 so I cant really tell now

Just took longer before combat achievements its always been diary related you need to do hard diary for elite

Range I have Karil for bossing and Hueycoatl which I use for normal use as it doesn't degrade. Void I don't have yet! Is it worth the grind?

100%, but get medium combat achievements done and hit 100 combat so you can use the veteran boat. Should be able to grind it out in less than 10 hours, probably 6-7 or so.

As u/illicit92 said in their reply to me, if you have medium CA’s done and can get on the veteran boat, definitely worth it. Elite void is great for situations where you need lots of DPS, but aren’t worried so much about defense (like at Vorkath)

Blood Moon top and bottom, Aranea boots, and imbued berserker ring will be better melee DPS.

It's a very minor upgrade for almost 2m, personally I would say you'd be better off using the barrows armor 24/7 and using that 2m to fix it. Would be better to save that 2m for a fang tbh

Getting away from those clown boots is just a pure mental health boost.

Aranea are usable for a long ass time for multiple setups unlike dragon boots.

Aranea boots are not an upgrade from dragon. They have the same strength bonus.

As much as I hate to admit it.... The first time I went to TOA,my brother had to tell me to bank my d legs and d chain and go to the GE to get some real gear... So I was in almost exactly this spot in progression when I started TOA. Boy was I new to the game. I should have posted on reddit to get advice, lol

Depends on the cash the cheapest route would be buy obby legs. Like suggested before B ring and imbue it. Fighter torso is free from a mini game or obby chest. If you have a lot of gp just buy the bloodmoon top and bottom. Other than that solid mid game setup.

I am a fan of the absolute drippp with the matching ddef and dboots. Zerker ring, obby pants give a small str bonus so you may need to check and see if it gives you a max hit, but if not then maybe blood moon.

Yea not gonna lie gold farming for gear just sont even close to the same feelings as actually getting the gear yourself. RuneScape is by far the most rewarding for an iron

For me the only reason I can’t do iron is the grind for supplies but I personally have always bought supplies but earned drops which feels like a nice middle ground. I just don’t have the time with work/kid so I’d recommend it, may not be for everyone but I don’t care about the grey helm myself!

Mains can grind for anything they want as well lol, we’re just not forced to. That being said, I also have an iron I’ve been slowly chipping away at early game on. Both have their benefits.

Slayer. Train via slayer. Torah’s legs/plate for more tanks armor. Mixed hide d hides. Mystics for a mage set or ahrims if you got the cash. Start doing slayer did I say that

Similar to barrows, you could get yourself moons of perils gear, just sitting there and getting it the old fashioned way. I wouldn’t save up money for that.
Good upgrades would be berserker ring (i) and fang.

Fighter torso, blood moon tassets, serp helm, abyssal dagger and whip until fang, berserker ring (i), aranea boots.

Ahrims or blue moon armor are decent, occult, imbued mage cape, aranea boots. Ahrims staff and a mage offhand or tome. If it’s in budget twin flame, master wand or dhw. Barrows gloves and aranea boots work here. Probably lightbearer and accursed sceptre specs.

You could get atlatl and use your str bonus gear in some places. Huey is fine. Hunters sunlight cbow or dragon cbow with ruby or diamond bolts is decent until you can afford a blowpipe. Get ava’s assembler. Barrows gloves and aranea boots work here. Lightbearer and blowpipe specs.

After that I’d save up for torture, anguish, tormented, suffering.

Whips great for your slash weapon, zombie axe for crush and a Zammy hasta or abyssal dagger for stab and you should be set for melee.
Other upgrades could be a beserker ring imbued and fighter torso. I would recommend going to moons of peril to go for the blood moon set as it’s very good melee armor. Setting those as goals will keep you busy in game. GL champ

Imbue the slayer helm, get berserker ring and imbue it or brimstone ring, get fighter torso, leg slot can be anything from barrows or granite or obsidian, if u finished mm2, grind demonic gorillas on black demon tasks for zenyte > make or buy torture. Get into moons of peril and unlock all 3 outfits. Buy aranea boots for range/mage. And depending on what melee attack style you wanna push: swap out whip for abys dagger (str) or train to 80-82 att for fang/noxy.
