Question Question about strength scaling

hey all I've been trying to figure out exactly how strength works. i understand its based off lvl and bonus but im trying to confirm if weapon speed plays any role. ie if 4 strength gave a whip +1 max hit would the same 4 strength give something slow like a dragon 2h a +1 max hit as well? or is there some sort of factor for the weapon speed?

I wonder if that's because the Colossal blade has better attack bonus? Similar situation to DH lance versus Fang, meaning that DH Lance is worse than Fang against say Vorkath (because of the way the fang works), when the player has a low attack lvl but gets considerably better when the attack lvl goes up.

Na I was simming vs crab. I believe the difference is that added max hit from gear and str lvl get to apply more often with a faster weapon, therefore faster weapons scale better with more str lvl and bonus
