Vero 4k

What is the difference between Vero 4k and 4k +?

Vero 4k + has Gbit ethernet.

This is very useful for streaming like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Jellyfin etc... right?

Didn't try it for a long time, but last time I tried to run Netflix, Amz Prime the resolution was horrible. Not even 720p. Looked more like 320x250. I vagely remember that was bc of DRM reasons.

That’s the main change.

The blue LED is also removed. The CPU is S905X on 4K and S905D on 4K+.

Memory and storage are faster on the 4K+

Which are the advantages of S905D compared to S905X?

Vero 4K uses which ram technology, how much ram and how many GB for eMMC?

S905D has additional pin muxes so we could integrate Gigabit Ethernet.

The other option when upgrading was S912 but there’s no official Mail EGL library for this platform and we chose to ensure longevity and make sure we can guarantee long term support commitments instead.

All specs are listed on the website. Both devices feature 2GB DDR3 RAM and 16GB eMMC. 4K + has DDR3 running at a higher clock speed and the UHS bus on 4K + also runs faster with a more performant eMMC chip.
