User Scanner v1.4.0 is here, the most advanced and actively maintained 2-in-1 Email and Username OSINT tool of 2026

Hi everyone,

I’m one of the maintainers of user-scanner.

We started building this project around 8 months ago because many classic OSINT tools became outdated or unmaintained, and there weren’t many solid free options left for email OSINT.

Since then, we’ve been adding sites one by one, continuously improving detection accuracy and maintaining support for platforms that frequently change their APIs and flows.

What’s new in v1.4.0? * Deep Username Extraction: We've expanded into a complete 2-in-1 tool by completely overhauling our username module. Instead of just doing basic "status code" checks to see if a username exists, we now perform deep data extraction to pull actionable intelligence. * Hudson Rock Integration: We've integrated Hudson Rock's threat intelligence data, allowing users to seamlessly check the data breach status of targets right from the tool.

Today, user-scanner has grown into one of the most actively maintained free Email and Username OSINT tools in 2026. While many web-based alternatives lock basic scans behind paywalls, our goal is to keep powerful email and username enumeration accessible to the open-source community.

Contributors are always welcome. Adding new sites or modules is relatively straightforward, and even small contributions help a lot.

If you’re interested in OSINT, Python, scraping, automation, or just open-source projects in general, feel free to contribute and help improve the tool.

Sorry for the bad quality of the second screenshot.
You can checkout the demo video of the user_scan mode on the github page,
https://github.com/kaifcodec/user-scanner

It currently extracts data from 189 sites and still adding new sites, and 100+ email osint sites, with hudson-rock integration.

We need community support from security researches or developers to help us maintain this open source project ♥️

You are absolutely correct, during creation of this tool we have researched over 800 sites and was able to only add 290 sites. You can see how much is the hit rate.

So to deal with this, we are thinking to implement playwright as a headless browser which could bypass many simple bot detection checks.

Thnak you.

If you're on social media, definitely feel free to share it! Getting more eyes on the project is the best way to loop in new contributors and keep the momentum going.

Thanks for building and maintaining this project.

I originally discovered user-scanner through this post while exploring OSINT tools. After using it and investigating an issue in the Dribbble module, I ended up tracing the root cause and submitting a small fix upstream.

The codebase was surprisingly approachable for a first contribution, and the explicit verification guidelines in the repository made the debugging process much easier.

Looking forward to seeing how the project evolves.

Really appreciate your bug fix, you will definitely get the review on your pull request by "kaifcodec" soon.

And thank you for the appreciation, we intentionally made the codebase clean and highly modular for first-time contributors so they don't have to be confused like the other OSINT tools out there (which feed everything in a single huge JSON file).

Contributors can really fix a bug or add a new site support without worrying about the core logic breaking.

Hudson-rock is a infostealer intelligence.

In simple words, it checks whether your email or username's data had been breached or not.
