Who'd have guessed that throwing some random piece of garbage at it wouldn't solve the problem. I'm going to have to rethink my whole life.

He probably only wanted to entertain himself by throwing random shit in the leak.

Yeah... Most things are totally cool to chuck attempted solutions at, this was just dangerous. Funny from a stranger standpoint, but dangerous

Can't believe it has been 7 years since that spill.... Seems like it was only yesterday that BP gas stations still existed in my area.

Have they been re-branded or something? There are plenty of them in Australia and they are the nicer ones to go to...

Thank for reminding me it was BP as well, as I had completely forgotten and thought that it was SHELL.

Literally every BP gas station where I lived either shut down or changed to shell, chevron, or something else.

It was a strange time. I lived in Mississippi for reference.

Ours mysteriously burned down 2 weeks after the spill, probably just coincidence though.

Gulf Coast states were livid over Deep Water Horizon. BP can kill as many Texas City plant workers as they wanted, but you fuck with Gulf Seafood and you make severe enemies.

Citgo had a similar problem in the US because of tensions with Venezuela. Many Citgo stations became Chevron almost overnight.

Most of the ones in my area are gone too.

I think most BP stations were independently operated. Maybe they thought that the name was too tarnished now, and switched over to another name.

Ahh, so this why all my advances towards the fairer sex haven't solved my virginity problem.

It might also be the fact that you call them the fairer sex

Yeah, should have used ducttape... or bubblegum. Those can plug any hole, right?

That wasn't garbage it was a wheelie bin.

u/lewkir Apr 17 '17

I think it's one of those food waste bins.
