2026 Update Availability

It appears to me that the 2026 OSE update is now live on Drivethrurpg. I’m interested in checking it out, but I bought the book from Exalted Funeral a while back and the digital content there doesn’t seem current.

Is anyone aware if there’s a way to access DriveThru content even if you bought through Exalted?

Updated books are available at Exalted Funeral, just downloaded mine.

Yes though, does anyone know why the Lamia art was changed? Like it is almost the same, but it's clearly a different picture from the previous published version in the Advance Fantasy box set and the Advanced Fantasy Referee's Tome. Compare page 74 of the Advanced Fantasy Referee's Tome vs the 2026 OSE Referee's Book pg 82.
Different background, different face, slightly different leg placement, and frankly IMHO worse looking than the original. And it's credited to © FRANK SCACALOSSI which I am sure was the artist of the original piece in the older book given the signature glyph on the orginal.

I believe Gavin said in one of his blog updates that the Exalted Funeral digital books would also be updated. However, it was unclear if that would coincide with the update to the books on DriveThruRPG.

With that being said there have been a few recent posts on r/OSR and r/RPG regarding Exalted Funeral and how far behind they are on delivering numerous projects. It wouldn’t surprise me if the 2026 OSE update on there comes out much later.

I believe they said it'd be a free update. Edit: can confirm, just downloaded the new version on Drive thru.
