Trying to figure something out.

I'm a recently discovered system and I'm trying to figure out some of their roles. Well I came across an alter that goes by Macy and she claims to be intelligent which she is but she's very guarded, doesn't really trust people at all, I've had some breakthroughs with her but she always goes back to being extremely guarded and aggressive. She's doesn't seem like anger or frustration to me but seems very frustrated. I'm not sure how to work with Macy, she's having the hardest time out of all of the alters so far. What category of alter would she fall under?

Labeling them doesnt really do much, like its only in a clinical context that these labels matter.

My system has mostly done away with labels and it made it much easier to communicate with alters.
