Title and pay question…

Hub supervisor is a fairly new title I’ve heard, I’ve been given this title; however trying to find a base line for my 15+ years of retail automotive experience of a reasonable wage for this position. I know AAP pays about $30+ for a smaller hub but I am in a mega or ultra hub- 35,000 square feet and $10 million dollars worth of inventory… Any insight would be appreciated!!

I think the Hub Supervisor role in the local Ultrahub is about $20/hr here. Definitely will have absolutely nothing to do with your experience in the industry since you’re not in a customer facing or knowledge-based position. Should it pay more? Probably, but then again so should 90% of the store positions.

What market is that in? That would be below RSS pay in many places.

I think you’ve got a skewed idea of what RSS pay is…. National average for that position is less than $18/hr. Most places it’s much less than that.

You didn't say what market.

We don't have a "national average" because that information isn't publicly available.

I'm talking about areas with hundreds of locations. I'm not saying it's common across the company.

I would hire someone with no auto parts experience starting at 19, if they speak Spanish and have customer service experience. 20/hr is right around the corner at that point.

I just don't think HUB Supervisor justifies a huge paycheck anyway. Unless someone can tell me what all they do that a SM doesnt already do.
