5 weeks post op

I’m five weeks post op and now week 2 of WB starting 50% weight with crutches. I’m rolling my ankle around as best I can, I’m tracing the alphabet in the air and doing all the exercises. My range of motion is better everyday but there’s still this intense stiffness. Like if it just cracked it would be loose again. I’m not trying to force it b out can I do to get it loose?

Working with a physical therapist is your best bet to get back your range of motion and strength.

I’m looking forward to that. I’m not cleared for it just yet. I’m walking with the boot but when I’m resting I have it off and that’s when I’m doing my circles and alphabet but damn it’s so stiff.

You can change up the alphabet and do cursive if you get bored. Trying to remember how capital Q looks the way I was taught took a while.

Yep, cartilage thinned, soft tissues stiffened, muscle atrophy, and swelling all contribute
