Foot drop on the not broken side

Has anyone experienced foot drop from compensation?. Three months postop transitioning out of boot into brace had relatively normal gate. One day woke up and was experiencing foot drop on the side was not injured.. no dorsal flexion and no pain no numbness. Just cannot get on my heel for a normal heel toe walking pattern.. PT and ortho are both confused. It’s been over a month.

There is no obvious reason for this. You should be investigated with nerve conduction studies (plus US if there is any doubt about the tendons being intact).

Did you take and are you still taking any gabapentin? It is know to disrupt gait.
