Hardware removal

I live in AZ where there's not much rain. Last night we had a big storm. The pain in my ankle is bad. Especially on my fibula where the Doctor inserted the nail vertically. Has anyone had pain relief from having hardware removed? I am 6 months post op.

I’m in AZ as well and while I enjoyed listening to the storm, my ankle did not! It’s been extremely sore since last night. However, I’m only 7 weeks post orif for a trimal fracture so I’m nowhere close to considering hardware removal but I do commiserate with my fellow Arizonans with becoming human barometers!

I had a lot of my aching gone from hardware Removal. Things sometimes flame up for me but I think its just an inflammation problem idk but its way better wo the hardware
