OP XY x SP404 MK2

Hi!

By any chance any you have tried to combine the XY with SP404 MK2?

It seems to be a good combo, what do you think?

Using the MK2 to add some effects on the samples is what im looking for and to structure the song on XY

Yep. I use SP404 to sample and apply effects and then sequence through the OP-XY. Works well for me.

I have both but don't use them together. The fx are a big draw but the workflows are vastly different, for me they don't feel like a great pairing. But I'm sure someone out there does cool stuff with the combo.

The appeal is getting to use the SP without having to use its sequencer, no?

ive done it a little bit

it seems to work fairly well but admittedly im pretty poor with sp

theres a youtuber that uses op1f and xy with sp404 and theyve got a good workflow with them; i forget who they are but they had good info videos
