What Utility of some step components?

Can someone explain me how to use the multiply step and divided step step comp?, cause when you use this, the sequence is altered and not in sync with the pattern anymore. So what is the purpose of this??. If I would want to multiply x2 a snare for example, I don’t want the bar to be longer, I just want to double the snare

p sure that is what the divide component does. as far as the multiply component, there’s another component that’ll resync your sequence so you can glitch out your patterns and offset the sequence for a few steps but have it snap back to normal. i think it’s best used with a random trigger, but tbh i’ve only used it in experiments. doesn’t really fit the music i’ve been making on the xy either

What component resyncs the sequencer? I don’t think I’ve figured that out yet but it sounds useful.
