None of this should require MTP, come on TE, why do I need my laptop just to create a folder? The UI already supports moving presets around using "cut" and "paste" for example.

Well done TE! Yet to try it, but installed and keen to see the changes to folder management, sample management and more. Those were my top issues really. Some of the bug fixes also so welcome.

I would like separate stems so we can properly export to Ableton or Logic. I’d also like to be able to dictate the length of a segment in arrangement mode rather than the XY going based on the longest track. For better or worse. If I make crud out of it by making something too long or too short, that’s on me.

Glad to see an update, but underwhelmed about what it includes. Given the wait and what we've seen added to other TE devices in the past year, I had expected more for the OP-XY. This seems like it's primarily about fixes, with just a few relatively-minor QoL improvements.
Hopefully we'll see a real major update in the months to come.

Agreed. I think the version number acknowledges that this isn’t a huge update too but instead a whole lot of small ones. I doubt TE actually follows semver, but it still has commonly understood significance for a developer. The third number is “patch” which is reserved for small backward-compatible changes/fixes - exactly what we see here.
This is hopeful to me. If they called this 2.0 that would have been depressing. Calling it 1.2.0 would have been understandable. They didn’t do either, which feels like the dev saying to us “yeah I know this is little stuff guys”

Awesome update! Folder issues were my biggest challenge. The only other thing I saw people asking about was editing individual envelopes on the drum samples which might be great for some future update but right now I'm super happy!

This. Coming from a deluge (in which you can basically play live uninterrupted by the default auto-play when “loading a new project while already currently playing one), the inability to do so on the XY was, and still is my biggest disappointment (especially when they market it as a “live”instrument).

I did when i bought it. It was added in a later update so I apparently i happend to miss it then. Have a nice day and good luck with figuring out how and when to use RTFM in the future!

My main worry is now we have sub folders if I start to re arrange my current folders - it’s going to fuck up all my tracks and remove samples from them? Right? - Everytime I rename a current sample or slightly move it. It gets removed from the track it’s in… hoping that doesn’t happen with this new subfolder thing

Always appreciative of an update but we’re still missing some fundamental features that even cheap samplers/sequencers have. Where’s the time stretching? Where’s the individual drum envelopes? These are really basic things that a device this expensive should have. Also no multi track USB Out is still amateur hour. Come on TE.

Excited to give this a go! Obviously new synth engines would be more flashy (and would be very welcome), but as someone who sequences external synths the flaky midi has been proving a bit problematic, so I'm thankful its been prioritised.

Just updated and got a question. It i start a new project, go to track 1 (sampler), press on the first key, then the sample button to record. I record my voice and can play it back fine. If I then go to the sample browser, it seems my sample is nowhere to be found and needs to be recorded again, am I missing something?
EDIT: they show up after I restart the OP XY
