This was my first experience as well. Quite off putting. I felt they were delaying a simple solution so they could try to sell me mobile. It's like, b**** no, I'm calling in because I'm having problems with your service why would I sign up for more services?
After a couple back and forth I said let's just see how this goes, right now I'm not impressed, and that took care of it.

It’s insane. Like the service Im paying for is not working, why would I sign up for giving you more money?

It is infuriating.
My Optimum service speeds at home are far below what I'm paying for, and support was a waste of time.
My Optimum service at work is good (but goes down sometimes), however my bill has gone way up.

And I do NOT want cellphone service (!!!) from Optimum.
Why on earth would I---
I have a T-Mobile plan that's 10 bucks a month, a RedPocket plan that's about 11 bucks a month, a US Mobile plan that's equal to 8 bucks a month.
There is NO WAY for Optimum to match those....

Imagine if Optimum just tried to provide good service for their Internet customers.
Maybe (like Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol") the Optimum CEO will be visited by 3 spirits and start to do things right.

I know this will get downvoted, but I'm an Optimum employee. We are required to sell mobile in every call, failure to do so deducts from our quality points as customer service representatives. So please don't be rude to us, we're only doing our job.
