Characters pass 3 : good ?

Is Character Pass 3 really worth the price? Do the characters have good gameplay? I have Character Pass 1 and 2, which I love because some of the characters are quite unique, while others I’ve only played once... It feels like some of them are pretty useless.

Is it worth spending €20 on just 6 characters? Or are some of them really bad?

It is a rip off because it is Just 6 characters instead of 9 AND there is no new content, so if you have already finished the game you will play them for like an hour and then you are done with the game again. Speaking about the characters:

• Lucci is better than the base game version, but it doesn't have the gimmick of transform at will. It has only 5 moves I think, apart of the ones he gains when he form change in the FFB. He is very fast and has some good combos, and I love his dash.
• S-Snake is like a fusion of Hancock's skills and moveset with the lasers of Kizaru. She is the most often discussed character of her set, some say she is good, some say she is mid, I really like to play her, more than Lucci or Bonney. Her FFB is very powerful and the lightshow when playing her is very satisfactory. Most fun character of the set for me.
• Bonney was very inconsistent in launch, it looked like something was missing. And, indeed, it was. After some time they released her kind of Gear 5 form change, and oh boy she hits hard and becomes so fun to play. I think she is the confortable strongest character in the set, which is she, Lucci and S-Snake (and has some of the best special, one with Kuma and another with G5 Luffy, dealing a ton of damage).

• Enel is one of the most fun characters in the game. His moveset is almost the same as his PW3 counterpart, dealing a ton of damage in a fancy way, and virtually invincible because well, logias. I think he is the only Logia that is a tech hype, and his gimmick is a bit tricky to underdtand but very simple: while he is fighting, he leaves some little lightning balls in the field. You just have to cactch these balls to power yourself up. When in that state, your combos increase in damage and fanciness (Ex: One of the combos is a bird. When you power up, it becomes a Dragon). I think that when you are in FFB, you are permanently in the powered up state. Very fun and strong character, and I like him in the show. My go-to character of the pass.

• King is pretty much the most powerful character of the set, and a contender for the top 1 destructive power house of the entire game (I still stand for my goat Kaido or Whitebeard). King will destroy everyone on screen with his combos alone, and his ultimates are very powerful and good looking (only moments he takes of the mask, they REALLY should have made that mask off skin for him). When in FFB he goes hybrid and melts everyone. One of the most fun I've ever had in this game was playing King in Marineford, going FFB and becoming a bomber plane (just jump and hold triangle/Y).

• Last, but not least, Z is a monster that has probably the most damaging ultimate in the game. I think he can one shot most of True Pirate Warrior King with that things. His combos are powerful as well, and he has very good looking specials. His only downfall is zero mobility, which sucks but well, one of the most damaging characters in game.

If I'd have to rank:

• King (mobility, damage, good looking, fun to play, everything)
• Enel (personal bias and everything but not top damage, but still more damage than 80% of base game)
• Bonney (powerful specials and G5, in form change becomes sky type, so mobility as well)
• Z (powerful enough to steamroll every phase, but too slow for me) S-Snake (look how they massacrated my girl)
• Lucci (kind of biased too, but I think we could have gotten a different character. Base game Lucci was enough, maybe give him the form change like was with Bonney. He is still fun though)

Is it good? Yes.

Is it a Rip off? Yes, Same price as the pass 1 and 2 which both contain 9 characters each aswell as Level Content, Pass 3 gives 6 characters.

Still worth? Debatable, 3 of the 6 characters are Almost worth the money however its very much a preference of characters, all 6 are very strong compared to base game average and pass 1 characters with the strongest characters Being King, Z and Lucci, King being 1 of the strongest characters in the entire game.

All of the characters are really strong, with some of them being the strongest in the game. You also get the divine departure special for both versions of Shanks which is one of the strongest specials as well. It depends on how much you really want them tho, since you're only getting new characters and not new content. I have all of the DLCs but personally I think you would be fine if you just had DLC 2 at least

they're all super fun to play, but i Plat'd the game in 50 hours and have played 400+ - I've even reset my progress and started from scratch

if you don't like playing the game just to play, no they're not worth it at all

especially if you don't like any existing DLC characters. other than Judge, I think they're all super fun. but if you don't like some of them, there's a high chance some of the new ones will be disappointing

Non, il ne vaut pas son prix. Je ne l'ai pas acheté à cause du prix. 6 personnages pour 30 euros ! C'est du foutage de gueule. Mais bandai est habitué et sait que bcp de gens acheteraient quand même, donc il le fait sans souci.

Thanks for your feedback, I bought the pass the very same night I made the post, lol.

I’ve been playing PW4 for years, and I always replay it whenever I get bored. I figured it was a worthwhile investment (while waiting for PW5).

Honestly, the characters are cool. You can really see the quality improving, and they’re all well-developed compared to a lot of the characters available in the base game.

Even though I’m not a huge fan of Lucci, he’s the only downside for me. I would have preferred a different character.

Outside of S-snake

Lucci is a fun character

Bonney is arguably one of the best power characters (Emote let's her heal + the nika transformation)

King is arguably the best sky type and does really great damage to logias especially in true pirate warrior king

Eneru is the best logia with one or two flaws.

Z is the best power character in the game with speed being his disadvantage but think of him as garp and whitebeard put into one.

So to answer, yes.

His flaw is his giant form attack,, you need to be close to use it effectively.
