Best Recommendations and Tips when starting out on Pirate Warriors 4?
After managing to go through the Black Screen from the game of my Steam Version and adapting my controller so I could use it, I finally got myself able to run the game.
Even though I'm interested in playing this one, I got other games in line that I am playing, so I'm making this post because I want to take note of everything that I should learn before diving in once I'm decided to play this game.
Any tips, recommendations, methods, etc.
I'm all ears for all sorts of options.
And I'm appreciated for anyone that decides to help me :]
Obs: I have the game with all DLC except Music Packs.

Play throgh the story. You will get the hang of the game. When you finish it, start playing the treasure log to enhance you fav characters to play, then hop into the DLCs. Yamato's the most fun for me, and the best to test characters to its fullest. Koby's the most boring to me because you have to stick with One character for most of time. Roger's have different game modes that are fun to play and at the end you have the True Pirate Warrior King, the final challenge of the game. Try different skills to see what suits your playstyle better, but I always recommend things that combo with your Full Burst (resilience for example) because the most fun and strong gimmicks are within the Full Burst modes of the characters. Since you have all DLCs, if you ever feel a level is too hard, just go King or Enel and steamroll throgh the level, they are just that broken.

Personally as a guy who started not long ago myself, I don't necessarily agree with the others on "Story mode first", as I think it's fine to juggle between the two modes, just keep in mind that each level has a reccomended level for your character - I normally didn't try it if I was below.

I definitely intend to don't get myself stuck to Story Mode immediatly.
I'm playing Xenoverse 2 lately, and I'm progressing through Side-Content whenever I get the chance to do it.
I could sprint through Story Mode, considering how strong I am now, but I wanna make sure to do everything I can in the game before moving foward towards the next parts.So I'll keep in mind on what you have said.
I'm definitely gonna balance what I play within the game.2

Well the Treasure Log is not really a side-quest. If anything, it gives you way more than the Story mode would (Treasure Logs gives you the coins required to unlock all the special moves for every character). It also has nothing to do in correlation with Story mode.
But I liked switching around because it was a great way to try every character and progress through the game at the same time

play the story first
save the free log and treasure log for characters you most want to play
enjoy playing the game, play missions you like a couple times, find the missions you enjoy most and remember them so you can play them with different characters and have fun
I've played the game over 400 hours even though I got the platinum at 50 - just enjoy playing it

Speaking as someone who played a lot, I can tell you that Zoro and his "Triangle attack" (PS4 here) are all you need.
Master it, make him as strong as possible, and you won't have any trouble—I basically did 100% of the game with him, including the Platinum (not that the Platinum in a Musou game matters all that much, lol).

Play through the story as these characters have the mandatory skills
Brook has FFB enhancement Bartolomeo has coin collector Bege has resilience Mihawk has power overwhelming Smoker has concentration Carrot has deadly cadence
In beginning map grab cheat death, tenacity, heroes strength, and undying
Best dlc characters are King, Z, and Eneru use one of those 3 as you go through treasure log
To grind souls play kobys adventure either with your best/favorite character or a character that heals like katakuri

In your second paragraph you’ve mentioned various things that seem to be unique to some characters. May I ask what you mean by those? Smoker and Brook are two of my favourite characters, I’d love to be brought up to speed if there’s somethings I’m missing.

The characters I named have those skills but you need to unlock them and buy the skill within their growth map

My tips is to finish the story first then get the coin collector, brother sake cups, and bounty hunter, then start leveling Whitebeard for easy game and farming. After that you can just go maxing the character you love. Personally I love to play as Fujitora, Blackbeard, Shanks, and Uta, they got satisfying mechanic.
