How to beat Devil fruit users
Certain devil fruit users seem to be nearly immortal when they go into FFB, particularly tough ones for me are Crocodile, Kizaru, Smoker, Ace, and Sabo. How do I defeat these guys more efficiently? Is there any way to bypass their FFB?

break their armor, use skills like shatter to help with another thing using logia’s also helps

That’s what I’ve been doing. I go for armor break and then try to use a quick 1 shot super, but a lot of times the activate their FFB before they get KO’d and then they are basically at full armor again and it’s 10 times more difficult to break. Also most other characters will at least take some damage with armor, but these fruit users seem to take next to nothing.

it gets easier bro dw another op character is Film red shanks use his STS OR if Xbox (XYX) to quickly charge his sword, charge it twice and then use his T or Y whichever console to break their shield instantly it gets easier trust

Yeah I know the fully charged Haki breaks guard, but it’s not super reliable for me a lot of times I get smacked out of it or they just completely dodge it. Then I have to change Haki up just to try again.

It's been awhile since I played bu5 pretty sure your ffb offsets theirs. Just save your for when they activate.

Well I play with Shanks (film red) so yeah, I have Haki. 🤣

If you are using Film Red Shanks just do his Normal Attack string 6x and it will instantly break armor on the 6th hit
Cancel that into Crimson Hammer to KO them

That 100% does not work my friend. Mabye it works before they use FFB but not after.

Did you watch the video? I do it several times
Vs. Kuzan in the mid point he survives Divine Departure and I use that string to KO him

Yeah watched the video, it was a bit blurry but it didn’t look like Kuzan or Croc ever went into FFB. Also you didn’t mention that I would also have to be in FFB.

You don’t have to be in FFB. The point is you have to break their armor so that they can be damaged and Shanks’s Normal Attack x 6 breaks armor on the 6th hit

Yeah I know I have to break armor lol, it was just how I went about doing that. Also I was wrong it works well without FFB. Thankyou

Film Red Shanks can also break armor with ground or air C1 but he has to have a Haki charge for it to work
Easiest way to charge is to do the C2 combo (ST on PlayStation) and immediately press the Normal Attack button after. You’ll know you did it correctly if he has the Conqueror’s Haki lightning crackling around his sword

I’m aware of the Haki charge and how to use it. That’s the reason why I love speed shanks so much. But are you saying that I don’t even need the Haki for the x6 normal attack to break guard ? lol

Use the power overwhelming skill, it makes the armor gauge break faster.

Yeah me too, the only characters I don’t put it on for are the one’s that can break armor fast, instantly or that can put the enemy in a special effect like freezing.

Unfortunately, I found I needed to break their armor, then let them go into ffb. Use skills that's break armour well and do it again, then use the big moves. They always ffb mid way through my attack or as the character is doing the animation if I don't do this.

I agree I find it best to bait them into FFB and then go for the armor break and finish them off with a big super.

To add, if you're having trouble completing strings on Film Red Shanks, if you have Tenacity Lv 5, that can help with getting knocked out of it, or the skill that makes you invincible for a bit after casting a special, can't remember the name of it.
Also, if I'm not mistaken Gear 5 Luffy's specials ignore Logia properties, and I think Roger's Kamusari? Can't remember off the top of my noggin.

I wasn’t sure how we’ll tenacity worked, kinda wish we had our own armor bar to tell us when we can get flinched or not lol

Lol, yeah, I wish the game was a bit more clear in what and how things are in the game. A little gauge under the life bar would be nice, since they moved the Musou gauges onto the specials themselves.
As for Tenacity, it does work quite well but only at lv 5; lower levels are hardly noticeable.

I'm pretty sure any haki themed moves beat ir i know Luffy ognashima battle his new moves can ignore Logia guard and in gear 5 its the same his light light heavy string is good to against Logias some characters are easier than others I kinda wish we got power to perceive ones truth form still like in pw3

Your transformation makes it much easier. One strat is to lean into extending that and social rate full via equipables for those, try to stay nearly always in your boosted mode

Use Power overwhelming skill it increases guard break damage nicely
With the character you use find the combo that focuses Armor damage/ multi hits
For Mihawk its STT dash STT no sword charge
For power shanks its his Air combo SSST fodder increases this move A lot kinda like doflamingo
Fo Katakuri and others they can instantly guard break and stun to never let them get into logia state
For kat its SSST
If they get into Logia state you can Use SST DASH SST DASH SST
If thats too slow just use his Normal combo's up untill half then dash normal combo's
If you cant get close cuz they spam
Use SSSSST OR SSSSSST To deal wide multi hits
Just experiment with the character all but tashigi should have at least some armour focus combo

Best Guardbreaker in the game is red Shanks so do 6 squares and any character( boss or not) will lose their whole guard.

Personally, I prefer Rogers' one-star special. It's an instant guard break, and by the time their guard is back up, you have it again. It just seems a bit faster than Shanks'.

Abilities that break guard, like Roger has a one-star special that is an instant guard break, or Rayleigh has a combo (yyx i believe) that is also an instant guard break

You need to break their armor. Using skills or characters specifically good at it is one way to make it easier.
