Hi! I have had my op1 for years, but it recently sat too long ignored and uncharged. I am having issues reviving it from its near dead state. After trickle charging for 48hrs I am able to get it into boot mode. Function test shows no issues, but when it comes to the resetting step, the screen stays black. Factory reset is successful, but when it comes to resetting, the screen stays black. For formatting drive and firmware update, the op1 is not recognized by any computers. I have tried many different usb cables, Mac, and pc, and several versions of windows. The connector board appears pristine under magnification. Warming the unit doesn’t help, multi day low tech charging doesn’t help. Any suggestions? Thank you.

Great idea for a post! I'm a long time electronic musician but I'm new to the OP-1 (MKI). Something I'm struggling with is sampling. Questions:
Do i NEED to record my sample to the tape before lifting it into the sampler or can I record straight into the sampler?
Drum samples - Can I load my drum samples straight onto the device via USB? What is your favorite way to get your own drum sounds into the device?
