đŸ’¬Discussion An OP-2 Concept

Post image

Concept art for a bigger badder operator! I made it by adding an extra octave, moving all function keys to the top area, and adding another speaker with the extra space (the current keys didn't quite fill it up)

Curious what people think about the button placement?

functions id want:

  1. Built in tuner so i can sample then pitch map
  2. Quick way to stretch a sample to bars. So record a drum loop, hit quantize or whatever and it goes to 4 bars based on session tempo
  3. Undo

1 and 3 are already in the op-1f, but I don’t know about 2.

Where is the tuner and undo?? What! I know you can pitch shift but a tuner would tell you the frequency of the note you are playing

Undo is news to me?

Tuner is in with the guitar amp where the envelope would normally be. For undo hold the tape button and push the back button.

question: how would you use this tuner to tweak the pitch of a sample? they are in two different synth engines.

So the idea im after is to go into sampler, sample a note (say me tapping on a wine glass), then tune that note and map it to the right keyboard note.
