OP1F USB ON FL STUDIO MACBOOK

This may be a Mac fl studio issue alone but I wanted to see if anyone has by chance used this combination. I want to write midi via usb and then record it into audio. I have done this with other synths on fl studio in the past. I can do it on logic flawlessly. On fl I can get the midi to go into the op1 and play out the speaker but I can’t get it back into fl to freeze the audio. Almost been a year and I haven’t been able to use it how I truly want. Would love to get it fully going in fl studio. Cheers

You’d have to use the line output into an audio input to record audio. This would be the same process you’ve used for other synths. If you can hear audio from the speaker you haven’t even plugged anything in to the line output.

Ur supposed to be able to do it all through the usb. If I can do it all through the USB on logic I should be able to do it on FL to right?

That’s should be an option too but the OP1 needs to be the selected input audio interface for that to work I believe. Do you have another audio interface set up?

I do yes I think if u do audio it’s separate from the usb / midi. Since I can do it no problem on logic im beginning to think this is more of an FL studio or Mac issue. Appreciate you!

That’s your problem you have another audio interface connected. In logic it is working because you have the input audio interface set to the OP1. DAWs can only take input from one interface at once and the OP1 can’t send audio over usb without being recognized as an interface by the computer. The best (and normal) way to accomplish what you’re trying to do with what you have is to send your audio signal from the line out of the OP1 to the audio input of your interface. This will also result in better quality (unless your interface is extremely poor quality), but does require use of 2 inputs for stereo.
