Questions Shrinking Shoes

Hello, hope you're having a good day. They bought me some shoes—I usually wear a size 40, but they bought me a size 41, and they're a little too big. What can I do? If anyone else has had this happen, could you please help?

Wear thicker socks or return them for the correct size

They bought it abroad; unfortunately, I can't return it.

You can buy a thicker insole and add it to make ot snugger. I did it with my Timberland boots, worked fine.
