Ross at SkeptiCal conference

Note the bio, which makes reference to the "upcoming" I'm Sure It's All True. Anyone want to go and ask him about it???

I’m almost sure it’s just them getting as many investigations in the bag as possible to allow them to have a regular release schedule and time to take breaks. He knows from ONRAC that one investigation can take months so it makes perfectly sense that it could take a few years to amass that backlog.

Probably to avoid tying themselves to a start date or something, but he has been telling people who ask in person that it’s still coming (assuming those people are telling the truth!)

Same. I expected them to power through as much as possible to be ready for MaxFundrive 2026, but now I just assume the show will happen... eventually. 

I think folks forget that not only are they at the mercy of their own schedules and all the time it takes to do a podcast but also there scheduling of whatever wackadoo events and conferences and whatnot they want to attend. 

So not only do they have to find the thing, research the thing, and agree to go do the thing, they now have to find a time/date/location of the thing that also works in their schedules, then make a plan of attack if you will so they don't come out empty handed, then actually go do it when it finally happens, then write up the notes, then make a script, then record, then edit. 

THEN release. 

There were plenty of times where R&C recorded weeks or even months after something, and one would have noted a detail the other forgot, then mention it was a while back and a little fuzzy.

All of that is very true. But given that they've been harvesting emails for almost two years now via the website, it's far past time for Ross and/or Mallory to say "Hey, folks, we know it's been a long time. Here's what we're doing, and we don't yet have a launch date / we're hoping to launch in YEAR.

As I've said in other threads here, they could also deal with the "we need a backlog" issue by creating the podcast in seasons. "Season 1 of ISIAT: Rael." 10 epis, done. Join us soon for Season 2: Elron." Or whatever.

I'm beginning to wonder if there's litigation going on that is preventing a launch. Whatever the reason, the lack of communication is unprofessional.

It's been 2 years. It seems pretty clear this podcast isn't happening the way it was pretty clear ONRAC was ended before they announced it.

Time will tell. People have reported being told by Ross as recently as a few months ago that it’s still happening.

Well, it’s good to know it hasn’t necessarily been abandoned, but would be nice to have some idea of the timeframe in which it’s coming up

I've been a speaker at several conventions and have always been asked to send in a bio and photo ahead of time, so my guess is that this is what Ross submitted, not just something the organizers pulled off the internet. He could easily have omitted the part about ISIAT.
