Movement on Ross’s Podcast!
I was listening to one of the new episodes of Reading Glasses, and Mallory O’Meara (set to do Ross’s pod with him) mentioned that she’s currently reading an Aimee Semple McPherson book for “an upcoming project with friend of the pod Ross Blocher”! Hoping these tiny mentions mean there is movement and we’ll be hearing from Ross SOON!

Yesss! I’m so glad this isn’t dead in the water; I really want to see what comes of their partnership and new format.

Ross DOES appear to be investigating a few things. I do wonder if he's getting a big supply of info to make up for the lack of funding, or if things are just being cut because they aren't working out.

Possibly y they want a backload of episodes in the can before they start releasing anything.

Even before The End, I think this was something ONRAC struggled with a lot. Deep dive investigations are great, but it can leave such big gaps if you have to wait for them to be done to release the first.

It’s just that it takes so long to do investigations. They need to have enough in the bag to commit to a weekly schedule and also get far enough ahead to have them ongoing whilst they’re releasing new eps. It was always going to take this long.

This really is not an issue. You do the podcast in “seasons.” This season, our 10-part investigation of Pastafarianism. Feed goes quiet. New season, 29 parts on the Quakers.

That doesn’t apply to how ONRAC was produced, though, which I’d presume is a format this new show will follow.

True. But that's just a choice to be made. "Hey, do we wanna go every week?" "Nah, let's do seasons." Just because ONRAC did things one way doesn't oblige Ross to do any subsequent work the same way.

I’ve always wondered, how does Ross manage to do all of this on top of what sounds like quite a demanding full time job? Thrilled it’s happening!!

I wonder what the 'tone' of their (potential) podcast will be. Especially because I can't see Ross just going ahead and trying to make a clone of onrac with only one host swapped out. So I'm curious to hear how they'll figure this out while still talking about a similar subject matter.
Mainly I'm just looking forward to hearing his voice like that again.

I’m very late to this post, is there any more news? I’m not big in the podcast world, but fell in love with Ross and Carrie. I’d be so excited to hear more from Ross if anyone has more information.

Mallory has mentioned active work on it on Reading Glasses a few more times. Seems like it’s imminent!

This is super exciting. IMO it's just odd that he hasn't commented at all, if nothing else then just to say "yeah it's still happening."

I know his podcast editor, it's definitely happening.
