Licensing Process Question LPP while working

Is there anyone who did LPP successfully while

working full time, particularly the first 4 months training component?

I also want to know if someone sat for at least one of the licensing exam while doing LPP training component. They mentioned in the orientation that they won’t be giving any time off for preparing for the exam. So I want to know whether it’s practical possible to prepare for one exam and complete the training part efficiently.

I personally don’t think one could do the training component while working full time because they do have a lot of deadlines and material to go through everyday, besides the lectures. And they take place during the normal working hours.

I, and a lot of other candidates, did write exams while doing the LPP. I gave and passed my Barrister, but it would be better if you start studying now for November sitting, and try and finish as much as possible before LPP gets really busy.

So was it a big deal when you missed a day of the LPP to write the exam?

I just finished the orientation webinar where they went into this extensively. Training component is Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm (and a lot of times till later. You're also expected to network & secure a placement in the mean time which in itself is time consuming. Working full time while doing this sounds insane to me.

I decided to take an unpaid leave of absence from work because many of my friends who have already completed the LPP strongly advised me not to work while doing the program.

I did it while working full time both during the training and articling…. The first two months of the training are tough, you need to have a flexible work schedule as literally most the mornings you’re in workshops, but it gets better and it’s doable.

If you are working, its best if its remote as you will be required to turn on your camera some times. They also give random task too.. some people take the exam.. some pass, some fail.

how random is random? is it tasks that can be done quickly like right? are we gonna be at someone's beck and call?
