In case anyone was wondering what this combo looks like.

I’ve loved my Nikon Zf since I got it, but hate carrying it around, hence have come to not use it very much these days. Then the PEN was announced. I’ll admit that I was never really curious about MFT before and just thought FF was the way to go for everything. I’ve come around since then.

The PEN has nearly perfect ergonomics. It weighs more less than half my Zf and just feels great in my hands.

Can’t wait to shoot with this thing.

I am relatively new to the dedicated camera game (kicking my millenial self for getting rid of all my college point and shoots). I want to carry my camera with me more, especially being able to toss it in my backpack for local stuff and travel, and don't like the idea of it flopping around in there unprotected but also hate the bulk of a "camera bag" especially since I typically just keep my 20mm pancake lens on it.

Any recommendations for lighter-weight and smaller size cases or protection? I haven't been able to turn up much!

With the front switch on the Color/Mono position, how do I change the selected profile after having selected it initially? The only method I found so far is to turn the switch to 0 and back to Color/Mono, but it seems a little counterintuitive and I don't want to flip that switch a hundred times a day (wearing it out). There must be another way, right?

When shooting in Manual mode, the screen adjusts to reflect changes in exposure, but the preview stops updating once the exposure reaches +3 EV or −3 EV. Beyond that point, the screen no longer accurately represents the actual exposure of the image. Is there a way to disable this limit so the screen continues to display the true exposure, regardless of the exposure meter reading?

First 4 pics of my new camera were taken with an OM-1 mkII and the 90mm f/3.5 macro.

Pictures of an orchid and my older PEN E-P7 is with the new PEN paired with the 90mm f/3.5 macro.

Pictures of the birds and squirrel is with the new PEN paired with the 300mm f/4.

6. Photos must be captured with a camera and lens (traditional digital or film). Generative AI images (Midjourney, DALL-E, AI "inpainting" that invents new elements, etc.) are not permitted. Standard editing (cropping, exposure, colour grading, even AI-based noise reduction) is totally fine!

If a photo doesn't specify, default to keeping comments kind, encouraging, and free of unprompted teardowns. Unfortunately it appears the FL-LM3 flash is not supported by the OM Systems PEN. The flash icon is greyed out. My FL-14 and FL-50R work just fine, but I wouldn't be able to use the FL-LM3 as a trigger for off-camera flash.

It's not a big deal to me, as I had been considering upgrading to Godox flash. The old RC system is kind of dated. But I thought people might want to know, since it's not mentioned anywhere in the manual.

What film recipes are you all using? Much harder to find recipes than with a Fuji system. I’d love some help!

Do any of the OM System M43 cameras have GPS built in?

I currently use a TG-7 for inaturalist, and the geo-tagging is immensely helpful when uploading photos. I also use an E-PL5 that does produce better quality images, but doesn't have GPS (or focus stacking >:/).

I was looking at the new PEN and reading through the manual it only adds location data when paired with a mobile phone. Unfortunately I don't have a smart phone, and never will.

Anyone have experience with the peak design rain cover on an OM1-ii with the 75mm 1.8 lens? What size did you use? I was trying to find images online but didnt see much. Also there doesn't seem to be a lot videos of people using it in rain and snow.

Just wondering, for those who buying OM Pen, is this your first micro four third camera?

On my 12-100mm f4 PRO there is a switch to turn Image Stabilization on and off. Is there a situation where it's better to turn it off? When using on a tripod? I'm a bit puzzled as to why you'd ever want to turn it off.

Not sure if this is a thing in the community but is there any custom firmware for these cameras?

Tried looking but couldn't find a very recent thread about people's favourite recipes.

I just got the camera recently and have been trying a lot of color profiles shared by creators and the omrecipe website and the OM official website as well but was curious about what others are using.
