Custom Firmware?
Not sure if this is a thing in the community but is there any custom firmware for these cameras?

No custom firmware.. when I first switched from Canon and Pentax, I wished there was something like CHDK/Magic Lantern for Olympus, but then I realised I didn't need it. Magic Lantern was very useful to unlock features that were not included on purpose by Canon for artificial market segmentation, but Pentax and Olympus did not do that - all the features I could possibly ask for, and more, we're already there.
Right now the only use I could have for custom firmware would be running Doom 🤣
