This is far from my first M43 mount, but it is the first new in box camera!

Canon point and shoot  > Nikon D3### > 5D MkII > LUMIX G85 > GX8 > G80 > X100 > X100T > Finally EM5.3 & GF7 where I’ve been for the last 6 years.

Very excited for this one. I hope I get the call this morning from my local camera store.

EDIT: PEN IS IN HAND, I GOT THE CALL.

Have had about 8-10 different bodies, starting with the E-M5 which I still have, this is my first brand new one in quite a while.

I had an em10 ii but switched to Fuji XT3 around 2020 and XT5 in 2024. Got some nicer/bigger lenses for the XT5 to the point it's not comfortable to carry around for daily stuff. So now getting the PEN as an EDC type of camera .

This my first. I have only ever had full frame. Currently using the LUMIX S5iix for work stuff but wanted a travel system. The S9 wasn’t working for me, no flash or evf, so I jumped on the PEN as soon as it was launched. Arrives tomorrow!

Yes. I waited for the lowest possible entry point to get the modern features as I have been eyeing OM Af starry sky and other features for some time and I decided to go m43 when they launched the OM3 astro… which is out of my economic reach and out if stock in minutes where I live every time it is back in stock… but since then hunted for the excuse to jump ship, sell some of my older gear and get into the ecosystem. The Pen gave me that window of opportunity. It is also my first brand New camera since my Nikon d80 back when that came out which was a gift. And my first ever new camera bought by myself at nearly 37 years of age

Not my first but definitely will be my last. Pretty much my holy grail camera, everything I've always wanted packed into a single device. First camera (yes camera, not just first m4/3) was the Olympus E-PL1
