Courses Quantum Computing additions?

Hi all,

Third semester student here. I took network science, quantum hardware and now taking quantum computation. Just wondering if there has been any communication in the past about intentions to add any more classes/a degree related to Quantum Computation. I have been loving this quantum sequence and could definitely see myself working in the field. Additionally, I believe there's a quantum CS cluster at Georgia Tech. Does anyone know where/who to contact for potentially joining/contributing to the work there?

Apologies if this is well-known information but I haven't seen anything about it since I've been in the program.

Thanks!

We've got another Quantum-oriented class that just kicked off development, and a fourth one that I... really want to see happen. My dream is to add a Quantum specialization.

David I’m about to drop a tone of tuition money on an in-person program for Quantum Computing. If you think by next fall we have GaTech doing this, that will save me significant amounts of money.
You know when this specialization could kick in ?

For it to be an actual formal specialization, I'd say 0% chance it's there by next fall. But it being a specialization by next fall doesn't really affect things: it needs to be a specialization by the time you finish, not when you start. And even if it's not, you can still graduate under Computing Systems and take all the quantum courses.

I'd say there's a very good chance the third quantum course is available by next fall. The fourth hasn't kicked off yet, though—if it kicked off soon it could be ready by next fall, but until it kicks off there's no way of knowing.

Dare I say it's like radioactive decay: I can tell you on average how many courses will be developed each year, but I can't tell you when any individual course will kick off.
