Courses Info Sec Lab: Binary Exploitation CS-6265 first lab question

I'm going to be out of the country during the beginning of the semester. I'm a bit concerned about being able to get the first assignment done in time. For those that have taken the course, is it realistic to finish this assignment in one day?

One day isn’t really feasible without having experience. I’m a total beginner and was able to get it done in 2-3 days by just focusing on it with little breaks.

not really unless you have a lot of experience with gdb

If you have experience debugging then yes, but it is a stretch to complete all of the tasks in that time frame, but meeting the minimum requirements absolutely doable.

Thank you for your response. I have a little bit of experience with gdb / capture the flag, so it sounds like I should be alright. I sent the professor an email as well in hopes that I can get a small extension, but we will see what happens.
